Dr. Marija P. is a board-certified psychiatrist with extensive experience across community mental health, correctional psychiatry, assertive community treatment, private practice, and telepsychiatry. She is the founder of Marija Petrovic MD PA, a tele-based practice focused on women’s mental health, integrating psychiatry with nutrition, lifestyle, weight management, stress management, and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT). Dr. Marija P. completed her medical training in Germany and psychiatry residency at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. She later pursued psychoanalytic training at the Philadelphia Psychoanalytic Institute, adding depth to her expertise in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. Over the course of her career, she has served in diverse clinical and leadership roles, including as a Medical Director, crisis psychiatrist, and community-based ACT provider for homeless and high-risk populations. She has also worked with veterans, incarcerated individuals, and underserved communities, with clinical experience spanning inpatient, outpatient, and emergency psychiatry. Currently, she combines her background in psychiatry with training at the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) and BHRT Academy, focusing on holistic and integrative approaches to mental health.
