I am currently a medical director of a growing psychiatry private practice focusing on treatment resistant depression and utilizing interventions such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Spravato. I love to share what I know about these treatments and ways to implement them in your own practice with patients, it is so helpful to be able to turn to these after trying medications and not getting effect or running into adverse side effects. After all, most patient seeking psychiatric specialty care need more than "just another medication". I also have extra experience in integrative psychiatry and frequently discuss the role of nutrition, exercise, and supplements in achieving optimal mental health. I completed my adult psychiatry training through the University of California, Riverside, where we had a heavy focus on emergency psychiatry and county level mental health systems. I enjoyed supervising junior residents and collaborating with many psych NP's and PA's there also. I pursued additional specialty training in Child and Adolescent psychiatry at Stanford University and am very comfortable seeing younger patients as well as supervising most of these cases. Since finishing residency, I have worked in both outpatient and inpatient positions seeing children and adults. I am now focusing entirely on my outpatient clinic which is collaborative with several PMHNP's and PA's. This arrangement allows me to be very flexible for supervision, teaching, and consultation throughout the week. I find that a productive collaboration is a relaxed, educational, and thoughtful process for both parties and look forward to being able to help you grow in your practice of psychiatry.
