Dr. Gabriel K. is a board-certified family physician and integrative medicine specialist with a profound commitment to holistic, evidence-based, and community-centered care. Drawing on a diverse background that spans conventional family practice, integrative psychiatry, somatic therapy, and psychedelic-assisted treatment, Dr. K. brings a uniquely grounded and visionary approach to medicine. Dr. K. earned his medical degree with distinction from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, where he was honored for his work in system-based healthcare and praised for his rare combination of empathy, intellect, and clinical excellence. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at UCSF Santa Rosa, where he began integrating complementary and alternative modalities into primary care settings. With over a decade of clinical experience, Dr. K. has served in a wide array of roles—from primary care physician at community health centers like Vista Family Health Center and Coastal Health Alliance to consultant in chronic pelvic pain at the International Center for Pelvic Pain Research. He has been a dedicated mentor, process group facilitator, and clinic preceptor, and is currently a collaborating physician for nurse practitioners across the U.S. Deeply committed to the future of psychedelic medicine, Dr. K. holds a Certificate in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy & Research from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) and has completed advanced training in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy at Polaris and the Ketamine Training Center. He currently serves as a physician researcher and site coordinator for the Ketamine Research Foundation and practices integrative psychiatry at the Center for Transformational Psychotherapy in San Anselmo, CA. Dr. K.’s dedication to integrative healing began early, with foundational training in modalities such as Feldenkrais, yoga, craniosacral therapy, and Zero Balancing. His scholarly contributions include research on yoga for chronic low back pain and studies on body awareness and trauma at UCSF’s Osher Center. He has also presented extensively on clinical topics ranging from end-of-life care to gestational hypertension. In recognition of his academic and scientific achievements, Dr. K. has received numerous national and international honors, including induction into the Young Inventor’s Hall of Fame and multiple awards in neuroscience and biomedical science. Fluent in Spanish and grounded in a deep respect for diverse healing traditions, Dr. K. is also an avid backpacker, dancer, musician, and community builder. His work is animated by a lifelong passion for the intersections of medicine, mind-body awareness, spiritual inquiry, and social responsibility.
