Currently pursuing an MBA at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, she continues to expand her leadership and systems-based expertise. Her academic contributions include national and international lectures, full-day courses at the American Psychiatric Association (APA), and peer-reviewed publications. Her collaborative approach is grounded in curiosity, reflection, and the restoration of mentalizing within clinical systems. She views collaboration not merely as coordination of care, but as an ongoing dialogue that explores how patients, clinicians, and institutions unconsciously influence one another. In working with multidisciplinary teams, including nurse practitioners, therapists, and administrators, she emphasizes open discussion of clinical impasses, shared formulation, and thoughtful prescribing that integrates psychodynamic understanding with evidence-based pharmacology. She values strong professional partnerships built on intellectual rigor, emotional awareness, and mutual respect. Dr. Samar H. approaches collaboration as a process of co-thinking—supporting colleagues in understanding complex presentations, navigating treatment resistance, and delivering care that honors both symptom relief and the deeper narrative embedded within each patient’s experience.
