Hello, I'm Shayna P.

Throughout my psychiatry training, I had the privilege of learning from incredible team members at both The George Washington University for Psychiatry Residency and Brown University for Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship. These trainings provided a strong foundation in both clinical care and the interpersonal relationships and human connection that underpins meaningful medical care. These experiences have shaped an eclectic, patient-centered approach that integrates individualized plans in psychotherapy, medication management, and lifestyle interventions for each patient. Through my work at a non-profit focused on Military, First Responders, and their families, I have gained expertise in navigating a number of clinical and psychosocial stressors that face these populations. While I have treated cases on almost every psychiatric disorder, I find I have the most expertise in working with individuals with anxiety disorders, PTSD, ADHD, grief, bipolar disorder, women's mental health, sports psychology and depression. I find purpose in helping individuals reach their full potential. My forensic background, coupled with a deep interest in the intersection of mental health, law, ethics, and the humanities, has strengthened my ability to navigate complex clinical presentations and systems with care and clarity. Above all, I strive to bring thoughtfulness, humility, and collaboration to every clinical relationship and team I’m part of.
