Dr. Joseph B. is a board-eligible psychiatrist and state-licensed physician in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Lafayette College and his Doctor of Medicine degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine. He completed his General Psychiatry residency at Hackensack Meridian Health – Ocean University Medical Center, where he received comprehensive training across a broad spectrum of psychiatric settings and patient populations.
During residency, Dr. Joseph B. treated diverse clinical presentations including mood disorders, psychotic disorders, substance use disorders, neurocognitive disorders, and psychiatric conditions affecting geriatric, perinatal, child, adolescent, and adult populations. He was actively involved in medical education, teaching and supervising third- and fourth-year medical students as well as junior residents and trainees from other specialties. Dr. Joseph B. is a Certified Integrative Psychiatric Provider through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute, where he completed a year-long fellowship focused on a biopsychosocial and holistic approach to mental health care. This training complements his conventional psychiatric education and supports a comprehensive treatment model that integrates biological, psychological, and lifestyle-based interventions when appropriate. Earlier in his training, he completed psychiatry externships and observerships in both adult and child and adolescent settings, gaining early hands-on experience in patient evaluation, treatment planning, and interdisciplinary teamwork.
