In some states, NPs may have limits on Schedule II prescribing. When clinically appropriate and legally permitted, the collaborating physician may issue Schedule II prescriptions as the prescriber of record (or comply with any state-specific delegation limits). This reflects additional physician responsibility and documentation. No prescription is guaranteed. _____________________________________________________________________________________________ Dr. Gilbert S. is a board-certified psychiatrist in both General Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry with more than 18 years of clinical experience across inpatient, outpatient, and telepsychiatry settings.
