Hello, my name is Philip and I graduated from Florida International University for medical school and the University of South Florida for psychiatry residency. I have experience working at the outpatient PTSD clinic at the Tampa VA as well as inpatient at the largest baker act receiving facility in the Tampa Bay area called Gracepoint. I also have experience covering the psychiatry ER as well as the inpatient units at the Tampa VA. I have also worked for different outpatient psychiatric telemedicine platforms online. Throughout my training and work, I have gained much experience in treating mood and anxiety disorders, trauma-related disorders, personality disorders, eating disorders, dissociative disorders, psychotic disorders, bipolar disorder, as well as substance use disorders. More recently I have gained a passion for working with NPs which is a major need in the field of mental health. Countless patients have suffered through incredibly long wait times in order to be seen by a mental health provider. As awareness for mental health increases around the nation, the need for more immediate treatment has never been greater and I fully believe that NPs have a very large role to play here. I have over 15 different NPs that I collaborate with at this time. I pride myself in being easy to work with and provide each NP with my direct cell and they can reach out at anytime. Conversations typically start with a quick text and we can schedule a phone call or video meeting from there if needed. The initial meeting is used for introductions and to assess each other's prescribing methods and approach to certain cases. I understand that supervision may not be needed for standard non-complicated cases and respect each NPs freedom to run their practice as they see fit.
